The Fine Arts Program at CEC provides students the means to develop a working skill set, think conceptually, develop creative thought, and provides an emotional outlet and means for self expression through visual arts, music, and theater. Fine arts students will have a strong foundation of skills which they can apply to conceptual thoughts to create mature artworks.

Extra Curricular Opportunities
Open Studio – Structured time to work in the art room on completing projects for class, independent study, and exploration of new concepts and media.
Art Club – Meets bi-monthly and is for students who are both hobbyists and art students. Projects are chosen and developed by the students, and are created both inside and outside of the classroom environment.
Praise and Worship Ensemble – This ensemble will be responsible for performing all music at school masses as well as the Spring Concert. Members will be expected to commit to some rehearsals in the summer (late August), and perform at all school masses, including Baccalaureate. No audition is required.
Chamber Choir – Admission to Chamber Choir requires an audition, and rehearsals will take place once a week outside of class. Members will be expected to practice music outside of rehearsal, and be committed to fine choral singing and music literacy. Chamber Choir will perform in both concerts, as well as smaller functions throughout the school year.
Wind Ensemble – This group is a smaller, select ensemble. Rehearsals are after school once a week. Admission to this group requires an audition. Members are expected to play in both concerts, as well as some smaller events throughout the year.
All Catholic Band, Chorus, and Orchestra – These Archdiocesan-wide ensembles require specific, rigorous auditions. Mr. Kuchler is available to help with preparation. All Catholic Music festivals are three days long, and conclude with a concert.
Drama – The Drama Program at CEC provides students with the opportunity to express their creative abilities through the art of theatre. Students may participate in the cast, stage crew, tech crew, or as members of the pit orchestra. The 2017-2018 Season features two musicals: In the fall, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to The Forum, and in the spring, Anything Goes. Auditions will be announced in school. For more information, please contact either Mr. Martin or Mr. Kuchler.

“The mission of the Danaher Lynch Family Foundation is to help unleash potential. We feel that there is no better way to exemplify this than through supporting the Fine Arts Program at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. Whether your passion is channeled through music or art, you are part of a special group of people that have a gift to inspire, uplift and motivate others.
