We are Excited to Welcome Bryan C. Caver to the CEC Family!
On Friday, May 12, CEC hired it’s next Boys Basketball Head Coach, Bryan Caver. Bryan has most recently been on the staff at Trenton Central High since 2010 in addition to running the Hoop Skillz Elite AAU Boy’s 14U & 17U programs. Prior to those he spent time coaching at Mercer County Community College and Emily Fischer Charter School.
Bryan played high school basketball at Trenton Catholic, leading the Iron Mikes to back-to-back Parochial A State Championships. He was selected first team All-State, POY in the Mercer County Area and named a McDonald’s All-American. He played four seasons at Seton Hall University, leading the Pirates to two Big East Championships. He also won a bronze medal in the 1990 Olympic Sports Festival and represented the USA in the 1991 Junior National Men’s Championships, winning a gold medal. After graduation, Bryan was invited to the Indiana Pacers Rookie camp before eventually being drafted 5th overall in the 1994/95 C.B.A. draft. He played two seasons with the Forte Wayne Fury and the Grand Rapids Mackers, and one season overseas with the Sydney Kings of Australia.
“First allow me to thank President Janet Dillard, Principal Michael Culnan, Athletic Director Pat Donlen, Director of Advancement William Burns and the rest of the Conwell Egan Catholic Administration for affording me this opportunity. I’m extremely excited about joining the Conwell Egan Catholic family and continuing to aid in shaping the complete student-athlete here at CEC. I’m very excited about competing in the Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) which is arguably one of, if not the top High School League in the Country! Again, I’m truly humbled by this opportunity and looking forward to getting started.” – Bryan C. Caver
