International students are an integral part of the Conwell-Egan Catholic community, and it is important that they are recognized as such. Hoping to bridge the gap between exchange students and American students, students in EAST class recently created a resource guide in attempts to better inform and involve international students in the CEC family. Freshman Tessa Smiley and Seniors Amber Dong and Christal Qian have developed a variety of pages providing information about sports and clubs available at school, places to visit around the area, upcoming events taking place at Conwell-Egan, and dormitory living compared to living with a host family. Ms. Schiavone, Mr. Ginter, Ms. Dugan also assisted with this project by providing pictures of clubs and sports to help students gain a better understanding of the activities that take place at Conwell-Egan. Ms. Stephanie Marriott, the dormitory moderator, also supplied pictures of the dormitory to help students to make a more informed decision about their living options. Amber, Christal, and Tessa hope their guide will prove useful to international students looking to become more engaged in the Conwell-Egan Catholic community, and intend to keep the information updated and relevant.
