Congratulations Jefferson Awardees

CONGRATULATIONS JEFFERSON AWARDEES

 

The Jefferson Awards Committee nominated the following students and organizations for recognition based on their community service activities.

• Jackie Wanjek:  organized dinner with Santa & the Toy Drive for the Red Cross Shelter
• Jen South:  Organized the United Way Toy Drive
• Erin Henry & Rachel Liberty:  contacted St. Michael’s & St. Joseph the Worker parishes and organized the Thanksgiving Food Drive
• Megan Henry:  organized the event with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament retirement house – students helped with making wreaths
• CEC Boys Soccer Team:  Members of the Boys Soccer Team went to Philadelphia to help set up the Operation Santa Clause facility for this year’s wrapping center
• Community Service Corps:  members organized two toy and one food drive and visited the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament Retirement Home

The following students were recipients of the December Jefferson Awards for Outstanding Community Service.

• Robert Scordia:  achieving Eagle Scout status and for completing multiple service projects
• Hana & David Britland:  for their efforts at the Appalachian Service Project
