CEC Mourns Former Student Ralph Glorioso
Tuesday, 24 August 2010 14:05Former Conwell-Egan Catholic High School student Ralph Glorioso, who attended CEC from 2007 to 2009, lost his battle with cancer on August 23.
English teacher Donna Gallagher, who taught Ralph when he was a freshman, remembers Ralph as the kind of student who could always make you smile.
“I’ll remember him as a fighter who was very strong until the very end,” said Ms. Gallagher, who shared with Ralph cards from CEC students—many of whom had never met him but who wanted to show their support.
One card was painted by a freshman student and contained the signatures of all those who donated their time, money, or efforts to helping Ralph and his family. Students and L.A.C.E. held bake sales, and proceeds from the Drama Club’s One Act plays and a Monte Carlo night held by football, cheerleading, and soccer teams went toward Ralph’s treatment.
“I am so grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support from students, faculty, staff, and people outside the school during Ralph’s illness,” Ms. Gallagher said.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where relatives and friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne. Click here to read more.
