Support Our School

We are truly grateful for your ongoing generous support through the years.  Our commitment to the teachings of the Gospel and our mission to serve others remains steadfast.  CEC provides a solid Catholic education to its students.  Toward fulfilling this mission, tuition assistance has become increasingly vital.    Our Annual Commitment is a very important and vital means of financial assistance for the school mission - educating young Catholic women and men and preparing them for the future.

The money raised through the Annual Appeal at CEC benefits our school community in various ways, predominately though, through tuition assistance. Beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of any given year, the Annual Appeal is a commitment to CEC and to Catholic Secondary education in Lower Bucks County, PA.

We are now accepting cedit card donations.  Please go to Student tab, click School Links and follow to Store, clink on online ordering and finally, Donations link.

In addition to the Annual Appeal, there are other gift giving opportunities available:

  • Legacy of Faith Campaign (May 31, 2006 to June 30, 2007). The first phase of this campaign was to establish a tuition assistance program; the second phase was the building of the E.A.S.T. computer lab; the third and final phase of Legacy has been wonderfully successful culminating with the renovation of not one locker room, but two to accomodate both the male and female athletes of our school.  The renovations include new bathrooms, lockers, showers, equipment storage space, and a separate trainer’s room.  All of this would not have been achievable without the ongoing commitment and support of the Legacy of Faith contributors. Current students and those who will follow will reap the benefits of this wonderful investment. Locker naming opportunity is still available:
$250 (40 character max). Please specify boys’ or girls’ locker room.

  • CEC is building a brick pathway to honor our successes over the last 50 years…and to chart the way forward for the next 50 years. Mark your name in stone as we recognize CEC supporters and honor our alumni and special friends.  Although the ribbon-cutting and dedication was held October 2, 2009, this is an ongoing project so it is not too late to add a brick.
      $125 (4”x 8” brick, 3 lines, 26 characters)
      $500 (12” x 12” brick, 7 lines, 72 characters)

  • Some of our contributors choose to give their gift in Memorial of a loved one. Often these gifts are given unrestricted, although others are given with a restriction, i.e., to the Guidance Department, or the Art Department, etc.
  • Some contributors choose to purchase a leaf or boulder in our Tree of Life.
  • Several restricted Memorials are set up as scholarship funds and assist a number of students with tuition.

Planned Giving – Gifts may be donated in various ways

  • Gifts of Cash - This is the most common method of providing a gift. A cash gift to CEC is tax deductible.
  • Gifts of Appreciated Securities - Allows the donor to make a significant contribution at a reduced cost. Federal tax laws allow a charitable donation for the full market value of securities on the date of the gift.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance
  • Gifts of Annuity Agreements

Attention Business Owners!!

Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC).
The PA EITC are given to Pennsylvania businesses for contributions made to primary and secondary schools, including CEC. This tax credit program involves companies making one or two year donations with a maximum tax credit of $100,000 annually.

If your company is classified as a "C" corporation, for every $1,000 donated to CEC in one year, you will receive a $750 tax credit against your state corporate net income on profits or state capital stock tax on the value of your company.  If you commit to a two-year donation, your tax credit will be 90% of your donation.

If your company is classified as an "S" corporation, for every $1,000 donated to CEC in one year, you will receive a $750 tax credit against your state capital stock tax on the value of your company.  If you commit to a two-year donation, your tax credit will be 90% of your donation.

Application Process:  The donor applies for a tax credit through EITC application and chooses the scholarship organization on the application.  The donor mails the application to the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) in Harrisburg.  An approval letter will be mailed to the donor by the DCED.

The donor then has 60 days to send a check to the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation (EPSF).  The check must be made out to the "Eastern PA Scholarship Foundation" and designated for Conwell-Egan Catholic High School.

EPSF will send the donor an acknowledgement letter, which they then mail to DCED as proof of donation.  The process is then complete.

...Not only will you receive tax credits, but you will also be helping students have the opportunity to receive a high quality Catholic education.
